Mix impression - sleep improved while taking, but side effect once stopped

I was really impressed with the melatonin gummies while using them. Following the instructions, I took one gummy every night until I finished the bottle. At 1 mg, this dose is considered a natural minimum, close to what the body produces, and as a larger person, it seemed like a reasonable choice.
I started taking melatonin due to my erratic work schedule across different time zones. I often went to bed late and struggled to fall asleep, waking up tired. Despite those issues, I typically sleep deeply without waking up even once, averaging around 8-9 hours per night. I'm also the kind of person who can fall asleep anywhere—on trains, buses, or even on the floor—so I'm definitely not a light or picky sleeper. So, I decided to give melatonin a try to see if it could help me improve the quality of my sleep, and it did. I was amazed at how quickly I fell asleep, the improved quality of my sleep, and how I needed fewer hours to feel rested. So, exactly the result I wanted. Waking up became easier, and I was thrilled with the product—until it ran out.
By the second night without melatonin, my sleep was completely disrupted. A week later, it's still not improving. I now struggle to fall and stay asleep, waking up multiple times throughout the night. My sleep is light, plagued by nightmares, and I wake up feeling terrible. I've never experienced this before, and I can only attribute it to the melatonin gummies. Or to be precise, it's the absence of pills now, after seemingly getting my body dependent on them.
I suspect the actual dose of melatonin in this gummies might be higher than advertised (which seems to be a common issue with melatonin supplements, according to my research), possibly causing a hormonal imbalance and some form of dependency that’s affecting my natural sleep cycle. While I still think this supplement can be a good supplement, I believe it’s best used occasionally rather than daily.
I wanted to leave this detailed review in the hope that Aavalabs might consider adjusting the instructions on the bottle, and so others can use the supplement with more caution. I plan to take a break for a couple of months, and may use it again in the future, but only as an emergency aid when struggling to fall asleep or during travel. I just hope my sleep returns to normal soon.
