Support your cell production for a healthy immune system

A healthy immune system is no coincidence. Daily eating habits and general lifestyle have a direct impact on our body, helping it protect us from infections and toxins. In order for our immune system to function effectively, it needs a constant supply of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

Even with a strong immune system, it’s still inevitable that from time to time, a virus or bacteria will invade our body. When this happens, immune cells—a type of blood cell—come into action to fight off the intruder. Blood cells play a crucial role in supporting our immune system, making their production essential for immune system support.

What are Immune Cells?

Immune cells are a diverse group of blood cells, including white blood cells. These cells are formed in the bone marrow and circulate through the blood vessels and lymph channels. Our bodies never cease to amaze, especially when you consider the strategies these blood cells employ to protect us from harmful germs.

There are two key strategies these immune cells use:

  • Strategy 1: Some immune cells, known as phagocytes, simply engulf and digest the pathogens. But when the number of bacteria becomes overwhelming, phagocytes alone can't handle the load, leading to strategy 2.
  • Strategy 2: If phagocytes need assistance, they call on T-helper cells. These cells relay precise information to plasma cells, which then develop the appropriate antibodies. If the same virus invades the body again, memory cells remember the specific details, allowing the immune system to respond more quickly.

Immune cells work tirelessly to keep you healthy, preventing illnesses from taking hold.

Where are Blood Cells Formed?

Blood cells are produced in the bone marrow. Both red and white blood cells develop from common precursor cells known as stem cells. These blood cells mature in the bone marrow before being released into the bloodstream when they are fully functional.

The lifespan of mature blood cells is relatively short, ranging from a few days to several months. With over two million blood cells perishing every second, the bone marrow must constantly produce new cells to maintain the blood’s vital functions.

What Happens If You Don't Have Enough Immune Cells?

If the body doesn’t produce enough immune cells or if they lose their functionality, the consequences can be severe. When immune cells fail to attack invaders effectively, the immune system cannot prevent disease outbreaks. Moreover, if immune cells mistakenly identify the body’s own cells as foreign invaders, they might attack skin, bones, organs, or nerve cells, potentially leading to chronic diseases.

How Can We Support Our Immune Cell Formation?

There are various ways to naturally boost immunity and support the production of blood cells, thereby enhancing immune system support. Here are some key tips:

  • Vitamin B6, B12, and Folic Acid: These vitamins are crucial for the production of immune cells in the body. A deficiency in vitamin B often leads to a lack of immune cells. To naturally boost immunity, ensure you’re getting enough vitamin B6, B12, and folic acid. Our Vitamin B Complex contains all the essential B vitamins needed for optimal blood cell production.
  • Copper and Iron: Copper aids in the absorption of iron, making both trace elements vital for blood cell production. A deficiency in copper can lead to an iron deficiency, resulting in reduced blood cell count and a weakened immune system. Spirulina & Chlorella Complex offers a healthy dose of iron and copper along with other essential minerals.
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 fatty acids can enhance the body’s production of phagocytes, the white blood cells responsible for eliminating harmful bacteria. These fatty acids are crucial for fighting off diseases. Check out our Omega-3 capsules available with fish oil or a vegan algae-based alternative.
