How to support your heart & circulation

Our heart performs at its best every day. The muscle, which is just the size of a fist, works every minute of its life without a break. In an average lifetime, the heart muscle lasts 652,000 hours.

Approximately 7,000 liters of blood are pumped through our bodies every day. For our most important muscle to function smoothly, it needs lots of nutrients, regular exercise and a balanced diet.

In this article we explain which vitamins and minerals you should pay special attention to in order to promote a healthy circulation.

Why is blood circulation so important?

Good blood circulation is important for the full functioning of our body. It gives the body energy and contributes significantly to our well-being. After all, our blood has many vital tasks. It transports nutrients, minerals and oxygen to all parts of our body. A well-functioning blood supply reduces the risk of serious diseases. Our blood ensures that our organs work properly and that all processes in our body run properly.

What causes the blood flow to be disturbed?

Blood flow can be affected by various factors. When deposits build up in the arteries, the blood vessels narrow or become clogged. The result is disturbed blood flow. It is often a gradual process and only when a significant part of the blood vessels are affected do the first symptoms appear. Poor circulation, on the other hand, leads to symptoms such as numbness, tingling or even pain.

Circulatory disorders can trigger serious illnesses. Especially when parts of our body are no longer supplied with sufficient blood. Heart attacks and strokes can also be consequences.

How can you promote blood circulation?

Promoting blood circulation increases your well-being and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. Even if you do not suffer from circulatory disorders, it is important to take preventive measures.

This is what you can do preventively:

  • Regular exercise
  • Cold-hot alternating showers
  • Massages and dry brushing
  • Healthy diet with sufficient vitamins & minerals

What vitamins & minerals are important for blood circulation?

  • Omega 3: Omega 3 fatty acids are among the most important vital substances of our time, as they have an extremely positive effect on health. Our organism uses fish oils to produce messenger substances, the so-called eicosanoids. These messenger substances reduce inflammatory reactions and promote blood circulation. Numerous studies have proven that omega 3 prevents dangerous deposits in the vessels. Deposits can cause thrombi, which can lead to vascular occlusion, stroke and heart attack. Eating oily fish 2-3 times a week to get enough omega-3 is not always easy. That's why we recommend taking Omega-3 capsules every day. They reliably supply your body with natural fats and are easy to integrate into your daily routine. We offer Omega-3 with high-quality fish oil and also avegan variant with algae oil
  • Magnesium: In order for the heart to pump a high amount of blood through the body every minute, it needs a sufficient amount of magnesium. The mineral dilates the blood vessels and has a decongestant effect. This allows the blood to circulate freely. Through proper contraction and relaxation of the muscles, magnesium promotes blood circulation and oxygen supply. There are many different forms of zinc and each form has different effects. In our Fullnesium supplement, we use 5 different forms of zinc that are considered to be particularly effective and bioavailable. With 2 capsules a day, you can rest assured that your body is getting enough magnesium.
  • Zinc: Zinc maintains the health of cells in the cardiovascular system and reduces inflammation and oxidative stress. Endothelium is the thin inner cell layer of lymph and blood vessels that relies on adequate zinc. If you want to boost your circulation, be sure to take enough zinc. It promotes blood flow and heart health. It protects against clogged and damaged arteries and helps as a natural remedy for high blood pressure.
  • Vitamin C: Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins and should not be underestimated in any case. It strengthens the immune system, helps protect the cells in our body from oxidative stress (free radicals) and contributes to energy metabolism. In addition, it strengthens blood vessels and thus prevents cholesterol from being deposited in the walls of blood vessels. Eat enough fruits and vegetables to get to the recommended amount of vitamin C daily. For adults, it is 110 mg per day for men and 95 mg per day for women. If you find it difficult to reach this amount daily, check out our Vitamin C Complex

Take care of your blood circulation

Our blood circulation supplies the organs of the human organism with blood. All our organs, joints and muscles are thus supplied with oxygen and vital nutrients. The circulatory system transports oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body. In the case of a circulatory disorder, an artery or vein is narrowed and blood can only flow through it very poorly. This can cause pain and muscle weakness.

Poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle or the lack of vitamins and minerals are common causes.

So don't forget to  pay attention to a healthy diet, daily intake of vitamins and sufficient exercise. Better safe than sorry!
